Today, 25 August 2017 (Friday) - Many people like Friday because it is towards the end of the week and time to rest. Personally, there is no difference as it is still another day.
On Dharma - Currently, I am studying Surangama Sutra which is not an easy Sutra to understand. Most important is to learn the meaning behind it and to practise. That's what Sutras are for.....to know their meaning and then to follow or practise.
This Sutra has many many benefits, however some things can also go wrong. The Mara strikes.......Example : is like I lost something important like jewellery etc or others. If this happen to you, would you still dare to study this Surangama Sutra ?
Yes ! I would still continue.....because I firmly believe in wanting to achieve enlightenment in this lifetime !!! I already made my 4 Great Vows and I don't want to come back. Do you ?
If you think you are going to come back then better make a vow that you will never be apart from Dharma. So that you can still begin to learn about Buddhism. And do remember to take 5 precepts with a Guru so that you can be reborn the next life time as a human.
On Feng Shui - Just today a lady client was telling me about her glass dining table and how it affected her career ! I tell her to cover it with a table cloth and then see how things are......
So, what does it all mean in Feng Shui Terms ? - Dinning table represents your career. The bigger the table, the bigger your career and the more solid the table, the more solid is your career.
The material of the table is very very important. Some need a wood one, some marble but never glass or clear plastic.
So never ever give away your dining table !!! Otherwise it means giving away your career !!!
In a house, we can purposely create 3 dining tables, then it means that our career would be even more solid solid, right ? hehe
