Today, 5 September 2017 (Tuesday) - Hi.........I had just finished reciting the "Tee Zhang Jin" and then dedicated the merits to my parents, family members and of course to my fengshui clients and life reading clients ;)))
Do you know the purpose of this Tee Zhang Jin ?
This "Jin" is about repentance and filial piety.
This "Jin" can clear away all your past bad karma done in this life time as well as the previous life times. That was what I read........so that once all these are cleared.......you would then be ready for enlightenment. You need to purify yourself first right otherwise how to become Buddha. Plus....you must also walk like him, talk like him too.
A Buddha don't anyhow open his mouth and talk to people de. If you read many of Buddha's Sutras, you can get an idea of how Buddha behaves.
I think I have recited this "Jin" about 14 times out loud until my voice turns hoarse, every time....including now.
So when you use Hua Tou to ask "What is wu ?" in your meditation and when it shatters the Great Big Doubt......you would have it !!!
According to The Platform Sutra, Hui Neng Fa Sze said even a small "shatter" is also good. All these are theories that we read but we really need to experience it.
Even Hui Neng Fa Sze advocate Sudden Enlightenment in this life time. It can be done......but there are a lot of preparations and hard work, chanting, meditating etc and I guess for many people, they need the guidance of a teacher.
Currently, I don't have any sifu........My "wisdom" is my teacher....guiding me always.

Today, in the office, I also recited The Diamond Sutra, out loud.......hehe....planning for the Great Big Doubt. I have recited The Diamond Sutra, 5 times already (reading it out loud). Chan Master Sheng Yen recited The Diamond Sutra, 300 times, if I remember this correctly ;)))

Here we can use the dark cloud to represent your "Deluded Mind" that is blocking off your "True Mind" (the moon)......
The minute you say : You like this and you don't like that. You are already using your "Deluded Mind".
But when your mind and your breath is here in this present moment, you are using your "True Mind" and "True Mind" is your Buddha Nature.

Today, I was in office at First Centre to help a lady client choose her new house (Condo). I did tell her to select those facing North or South Facing as these would be the best for the future wealth area (2023 to 2043).
